Wondering how you can make the most of your time at Nottingham Trent? The Students’ Union offers tonnes of opportunities to grow and have fun outside of your studies. Here are 6 reasons why you should get involved.

With over 120 societies here at the Students’ Union, there are lots of opportunities to meet students with similar interests to you. From maths and astrology to knitting and languages, they cover a huge range of passions, so you’re sure to find at least one for you. If not, you can set up your own.

You might just be starting your journey at NTU but building your CV over the next few years is important when it comes to getting a job once you graduate. At NTSU, there are lots of ways you can do that, such as attending our skills workshops or becoming a student representative.

You’ve probably already heard a lot about our entertainments programme. It’s one of the most diverse in the country, featuring everything from weekly club nights and quizzes to clothing fairs and wellbeing activities. Attending our events is sure to make your time at Nottingham Trent memorable. Follow NTSU Ents on social media to keep up to date with what’s on offer.

Getting involved in your SU means you can make your voice and opinions heard. We have teams of representatives who help to make important changes on your behalf. Talk to them, submit a Big Idea for something you’d like to see improved, or even run to be a representative and make a difference yourself!

Last but not least, our Information and Advice Service offers free, impartial advice and guidance to help improve your university experience. Whether you could use some help with your housing contract or you’re struggling with your mental health, our trained advisers are here to help so make the most of them.
