Ocean Nightclub is a legendary Trent tradition with full beach-party vibes. Set across two floors at Ocean Nightclub, the night mixes chart hits and classic cheese with a packed student dancefloor. Fancy dress is a big part of the atmosphere, from Hawaiian shirts and grass skirts to lifeguards. It’s a high-energy, sing-along night that brings new friends together and captures the fun side of starting life at NTU.

A huge student night at Rock City, with 2-4-1 drinks all night, CO₂ cannons, big light shows, and three rooms of music, including a Silent Disco. It’s a full Freshers takeover, with Trent students filling the dancefloor all night long.

Bingo Bedlam is bingo like no other, mixing classic bingo with dancing on benches, sing-along song requests, confetti moments, and full crowd chaos. The night blends games with party energy, led by a hilarious host who brings in stage battles, crowd confessions, and spontaneous chances to win on-the-spot prizes. Prizes range from big-ticket prizes like iPads and £100 vouchers to inflatable unicorns and surprise giveaways.

Silent Disco features a multi-channel headphone experience with three live DJs playing simultaneously. Dancers move between channels, sing freely, and take part in group moments, creating an energetic and social dancefloor.

Haus of Pop is an inclusive LGBTQ+ club night celebrating pop music in all its forms, from chart hits to cult anthems. With high-energy DJ sets, free giveaways, and a welcoming atmosphere, the night centres on self-expression, connection, and shared celebration.

Golf Fang features 18 holes of wild, graffiti-covered crazy golf set inside one of Nottingham’s most unique venues. Bold artwork, unpredictable course designs, street-food vibes, and a bar serving cocktails and soft drinks define the experience. Players arrive solo or with others and are grouped together on arrival.

Speed Mates is a relaxed, zero-pressure social event designed to help people meet and connect during Freshers week. It offers a friendly, chilled setting to build connections with other Freshers and branch out beyond your flat. Conversation prompts, mini games, and light challenges help keep things flowing, alongside a Trent DJ and host who guide the experience. The event includes two hours of speed-friending, plus a free drink and a slice of pizza.

An evening filled with laughter and entertainment, featuring performances from some of Britain’s best up-and-coming comedians. The show showcases clever one-liners, hilarious stories, and sharp observational humour in a relaxed seated setting. Drinks and food from the bar are available to enjoy throughout the performance, creating an easygoing and social comedy experience.

Trentival is a campus festival at Clifton, packed with music, food, and festival vibes. With two arenas of DJs, free fairground ride, a photobooth, giveaways, street food, plus free popcorn and candy floss, it’s a full student festival experience right on campus.

Set in a hidden oasis in Nottingham city centre, The Secret Garden offers an atmospheric outdoor movie night surrounded by greenery and fairy lights. Free popcorn is included, with a covered patio and outdoor heaters available to keep it cosy throughout the evening.

The night features a mix of original songs and covers, set in an intimate bar space with candles and fairy lights. An animal-themed student takeover at The Palais, featuring three rooms of music, big crowds, and full safari vibes. Animal prints, free mask giveaways, and a lively, friendly atmosphere keep the energy high all night.

Trent Freshers take over Unit 13, a hidden, warehouse-style venue beneath Nottingham city centre. The industrial underground space delivers a raw clubbing atmosphere, powered by huge tunes and an impressive light show. It’s a full student takeover built around big sound, dark spaces, and high-energy dancefloor moments.

Roxy Ball Room is a multi-level gaming bar offering a mix of interactive games including Ten Pin Bowling, Crazy Pool, Shuffleboard, Ping Pong, Tech Darts, Karaoke, and Ice-Free Curling. With food, drinks, and all games included, the space centres on relaxed competition and social play in a vibrant setting.

A night of Bavarian fun as The Level transforms into a German Bierkeller. Steins are raised and sing-alongs fill the room with a lively oompah band setting the tone — eins, zwei, zuffa! Dancing on benches and singing with friends continue as a DJ takes over, playing all the favourite cheesy bangers. Prost!

Fresh! is an underground R&B and hip-hop club night hosted at Nottingham’s Secret Vault, defined by its 360° dancefloor layout and a mix of smooth R&B, hip-hop and current tracks. The night is all about rhythm, atmosphere, and connection.

Brack’s biggest Friday night takes over The Shed (Brack Campus Bar), setting the tone for the weekend with non-stop music from a resident Trent DJ. Drinks deals run throughout the night, creating a lively atmosphere that makes it Brackenhurst’s most popular weekly student event.

ALT! is a high-energy club night built for alternative music lovers, centred on loud guitars and dancing all night long. The soundtrack spans Emo, Pop Punk, alternative bangers, and scene classics from artists including My Chemical Romance, Paramore, Blink-182, Fall Out Boy, Bring Me The Horizon, Linkin Park, and Green Day, among others.

District is the biggest Saturday-night student takeover every week at The Level, with three floors of music, big production, and DJs playing everything from House and DnB to R&B, Hip-hop, Afrobeats, and Dancehall. Drinks deals and added surprises keep the energy up all night long.
